FOREWORD

These communications were received by a small group of persons belonging to the same family, under the conditions more or less clearly indicated in the writings themselves. They purported to come from a very lofty spiritual influence who desired to be known by the name of Insight. He stated in our first interview in reply to urgent entreaty, that he had lived on this earth in the fifteenth century. He was a poor monk but he is now in one of the heavenly spheres and his mission is to teach those who are seeking spiritual knowledge. He preferred to call the members of the group by names symbolic of certain qualities—such as Aspiration, Courage and Endurance. His teachings contain great truths and since the beautiful personalities who bore these names have all passed into that higher sphere, so graphically described by Insight—this record is now published by one who discerns its great value.
